Hello I'm having issues with Visual Studio Code and the nrf SDK. I followed your tutorial as instructed and installed the application as administrator on both windows 10 and 11 (and insatalled the nordic SDK software and command line tools and j-link drivers (just like your videos). I installed the toolchain and a matching sdk (i tried v2.5.1 and v2.6.1) then successfully made a build configuration for my nRF52840 DK I made sure to keep the install paths close to the root directory But VS code does not recognize my board. Under connected devices it detects a connected device with numbers like "10040086720" but does not say "nRF52840 DK" like yours does. I cannot flash the application with errors saying: "ERROR: No debuggers were discovered. NOTE: For additional output, try running again with logging enabled (--log). NOTE: Any generated log error messages will be displayed. FATAL ERROR: command exited with status 41: nrfjprog --program 'c: ordic\projects\blinky_pwm\build\zephyr\zephyr.hex' --chiperase --verify -f NRF52 --snr 1050203242" Please help I need this project to work its very important and there is ZERO help anywhere for this.

Hey Nordic! Just wanted to ask if the issues using nrfconnect on apple silicon macs have been resolved, or is it still necessary to run vscode in intel mode?
Hey, this has been resolved for VS Code and nRF Connect for Desktop.
@@NordicSemi that is very nice to hear! Thank you very much!
Hello, I use custom board using nrf52840 and gonna program with swd on jlink Anyways what is my question is because I use custom board what board I need to select make it work or is there a board I can select by default for nrf52840
Hi, I recommend checking out this webinar which covers that exact topic ua-cam.com/video/V_dVKgWKILM/v-deo.html /Robin
Does nRF54 support LLPM, in which connection interval can be lowered to 1 ms?
Nothing exciting. We have been using keil to develop most of our products for many years, but now it does not support the keil compiler. For the sake of product stability, we do not plan to ask engineers to re-analyze other development tools, which will add additional costs. Our risk and cost. We plan to use other chips for the next product. We are very disappointed with nrf connect sdk.
Do you live in 2015? You need to learn how to engineer with elegence. Be cool dont be so conservative.
Thank you for your feedback. If you have ongoing projects using nRF5 SDK it is indeed the best approach to stay in that environment. But for new designs we highly recommend nRF Connect SDK which brings a modern approach to embedded IoT development, including the advanced capabilities of nRF Connect for VSCode the preferred IDE. Keep in mind that looking for alternative chip vendors implies migrating to a new SDK as well, and we at Nordic have unmatched free educational material in the Developer Academy to help you get started as quickly as possible: academy.nordicsemi.com/
Hi, thank for your sharing, but I have a question, How can I get the access to ant-nrfconnect?
Hi, ANT support is provided through a private repository due to licensing. You need to request access through www.thisisant.com/developer/ant/nrf-connect-sdk/ and follow the instructions in the linked documentation to enable ANT in your SDK.
My company was looking for a highly integrated LTE module with built-in GPS, and nRF9160 met the requirements. Until they realized it runs on zephyr, and no one in the company worked with Zephyr before. It was canceled, still looking for an alternative with a built-in application processor.
You do not need to use Zephyr, but using the nRF Connect SDK will make it easier. It is no problem if no one in the company have worked with Zephyr before, we offer free courses to get you started. Chech out the nRF Connect SDK Fundamentals course, and then you can take the Cellular IoT Fundamentals after: academy.nordicsemi.com/
Great video, What is the bootloader and bootloader version onboard used here?
Thanks! MCUboot 1.10.0, which is included as part of the nRF Connect SDK v2.5.2 used in the demo.
Are there any guides on how to set up matter from scratch? I already have quite a complex firmware that was ported to nRF5340 and I need to add Matter over Thread on it, but I only see documentation for starting new firmware taking the samples as a base.
Hello, have you seen this getting started guide on Matter? developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/nrf/protocols/matter/getting_started/index.html
This is a great video and in conjunction with the DevAcademy course really helped me understand the process a lot better. If I wanted to incorporate this into my own app (vs nrf Connect mobile), how would I do that?
Thank you for your feedback! To incorporate the concepts from the video into your own mobile app, you can leverage the open-source nRF Connect Device Manager apps, for inspiration. Good luck with your development! www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Development-tools/nRF-Connect-Device-Manager
How can I use BLE mesh for messaging between two mobile in mesh network.
We recommend checking out our nRF Mesh mobile app: www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Development-tools/nRF-Mesh/GetStarted
Do you have this for nRF9161 which came with a onomondo SIM card?
No, we do not have a video of getting started with nRF9161 DK. We recommend checking out and follow the instructions on our website: nordicsemi.com/start9161dk
Thank you, is very helpful. But one question is still open for me. Why there is no option connect to nRF52 chip (not DK) via onboard normal BLE Adapter not Nordic Dongle. Or I misunderstood?
Great to hear. Using our tools, it is not possible to use the onboard BLE Adapter. However, there are many 3rd party tools and guides that can help you with that. For instance, you can have a look at this one: www.npmjs.com/package/node-ble
The terminal process terminated with exit code: 41. * Terminal will be reused by tasks, press any key to close it. what is the cause of above error in vscode when flashing new application

Hello, I'm implementing nmp1300 in my project but there is a lack of information how to do it with SES. I didn't find an example in nordic website. Is there any specific documentation for cases like mine?
Hi, SES (Segger Embedded Studio) is an IDE, you can use the same nRF Connect SDK/Zephyr libraries in the same way as you would in VS Code or any other IDE.
Hi Martin, are all these features also available when we use AT commands?
Hi, they are supported directly by AT Commands or the integrated functions in the nRF Connect SDK.
Can this be done with a higher frequency to achieve greater accuracy? Also, can it be adapted to operate with 2 "base units" to calculate a 2-D position or 3 units to compute a 3-D position?
As we do not talk about frequency in the video, we are not sure what you wondering. Could you please clarify? It is possible to triangulate a location in 2D or 3D space by combining readings from multiple NDT pairs, yes, but please note we do not provide the algorithms or code for doing the triangulation itself.
Hello, this is Fabio, my doubt, about application, i need use LTE, but i need too minimum 3000kpbs to work well, will be used telemetry of automation and one camera. per station.
Hello Fabio, streaming camera use case may be too heavy when using LTE-M as the uplink is around 375kbps; you may need to look into higher technology categories in LTE. However, if you do not require LTE there is possible to do camera streaming over Wi-Fi we have a reference samples for that: github.com/NordicPlayground/nrf70-wifi-ble-image-transfer-demo

Hey, there are board files for the nRF51 DK in the nRF Connect SDK, but please be aware that the nRF51 Series is not officially supported. It is possible but would mean having to write drivers. The easy way to do it is to use a Nordic host, Linux host or another Zephyr based host. We have customers writing their own drivers so it is definitely possible. Be aware that it involves some work to make that work on a different OS.
